“The future is for those who dare to dream and find the courage to pursue those dreams”
~ Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum ~
Having worked in the Middle East for the past 18 years, it was a long time dream of mine to open a Nursery school and so the House of Colours was born, we opened in August 2007 starting with just 9 children in 1 room, the Nursery grew in numbers very quickly, offering the children in the AL AIN community a positive experience to socialise together, learn and be creative in an international setting.
Since that time hundreds of children have now passed through our colourful doors, with a firm foundation of learning with the confidence to move on to any school setting. Our magical team of experienced and qualified ladies have provided a high quality care and educations for a total of 8 playrooms and 8 classrooms for babies from 2 months old, toddlers, young and older children up to 3.8 plus years.
The main focus for our Nursery children is on “Learning through play” with the children participating in “hands on” activities through daily songs, musical sessions, creative art and role play fun – Independence, Individuality and Imagination.
Working closely together with Arabian Child in Dubai we needed to ensure more staff gained the relevant Child Care qualifications and were offered Personal, and Professional Development through regular workshops in order to keep and raise our standards. The Nursery was awarded a full 5 stars in all 6 standards of care and education following observations by Arabian Child.
This long journey of the past 10 years could not have been possible without the full support of our Sponsor Mohammed Rashed Al Nasri and our Public Relations Officer Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zadjali who has guided us through the Ministries legal requirements for which we are very grateful.
